Back on Track

Luke hurt his thumb in a crash on the gate that required two weeks in a cast. Today he was back pushing the pedals. I really missed seeing him ride the track. Great job big guy. This picture is from the national race did. I love the eyes is this shot. It was really good to see that look on the gate again!

5 Mile Meg

The family went for a ride at Valley Green/Wissahickon. Meg was doing her first full length ride from Northwestern Ave. to the Inn. This totals 5 miles of gravel. She did a great job on the "big" bike. Family Fun!

The Grass Is Not Always Greener

For the last few weeks I thought about selling the Superfly and getting a geared bike. I have the Rig that should be fine for singlespeeding. I found that the Superfly is almost to "nice". I did not want to mess it up even if I loved the way it rode. The Superfly had not been ridden in a couple of weeks until today. As I pulled it out of the garage today for a 2 hour ride I thought this may be the last ride for me on this bike. Not so Fast! Actually it is really fast. I can't get rid of this thing. It is a limited edition frame built up with the best hand picked parts! What was I thinking.

I left it dirty after the ride and plan on riding it again in the very near future. The bike is just to special to ever sell.

300

Blog post #300 for me. The posts have not been happening lately. I guess I needed a break. For the few people who follow this blog I will be posting a few times a week starting now. I love to look back on the places, rides, and family fun we have. This post is standard ride report. Charlie is back on his bike and getting fit. It was off to Huntington Valley for his "new loop". Charlie descibed the ride as hilly and fun. I could not agree more. We did 32 miles and had a great time and super weather. Another bonus of this loop is getting to look at some pretty amazing houses. "Who has all that money"? Thanks Charlie and sorry I was late. Next rime is off road!
